Southwest Metro Water & Sanitation has contracted with Levi Contractors to replace the water main in S. Flower Way between W. Arbor Avenue and the fire hydrant on the corner end of S. Flower Way in the Kipling Villas subdivision. Click here to view map. This pipeline has experienced four breaks over the past 20 years. This project is part of an on-going effort to update the Southwest Metropolitan’s aging infrastructure and improve the reliability of water distribution.
The project involves the installation of 357 feet of 6-inch PVC pipe. Construction will start the week of May 11th. This project is expected to be substantially completed in three weeks from the start date.
- Working hours will be from 7 am to 5 pm
- Short-term outages will be required as the work progresses.
- Residents will be notified at least 24 hours in advance of the outages.
The District realizes that many families will be at home during the construction. If requested, the District can supply bottled drinking water to customers during scheduled outages. To request bottled water you may contact the office at 303-979-2333 or info@swmetrowater.org.
