Transition of Management Roles



Cynthia Lane appointed new District Manager

Cynthia joined the district in 2017 as the Assistant Manager and was appointed to District Manager by the Board of Directors effective June 1, 2021. She was previously the Director of Engineering & Technical Services for the American Water Works Association (AWWA), which is an international, nonprofit, scientific and educational society dedicated to ensuring the effective management of water. Prior to that, she worked in the Washington, DC office of AWWA as a policy analyst for four years.

Cynthia also worked in the private sector for eight years as an environmental engineer. She is active in water policy issues at the federal and state levels, and currently serves as the Chair of the Colorado Water Utility Council and is a member of the AWWA Water Utility Council.

Cynthia holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Penn State University, a Masters of Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and is a registered Professional Engineer (Maryland).

 

 

Alyssa Quinn will serve as Assistant Manager

Alyssa joined the district in 2000 as a filing clerk while attending college. She served as an administrative assistant for several years and gradually became more involved in data and asset management, which led her to the position of the Business Programs Specialist. Alyssa was promoted to Assistant Manager in June 2021.

Alyssa serves as the Chairperson for the Conservation Committee of the Denver Water Distributor Forum and as the Distributor Representative for the Denver Water Citizens Advisory Committee. She is a board member for Colorado WaterWise where she founded and leads their Live Like You Love It educational program.
