Ismael Gomez joined the Board of Directors in May 2024. With over 15 years of expertise in the water and wastewater industry, Ismael brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to the board.
Currently, Ismael serves as the Collections Department Supervisor for Ramey Environmental Compliance, where he oversees maintenance and operations for water and wastewater facilities across 13 municipalities and special districts. In this role, he manages staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. His collaborative approach with district engineers, city officials, contractors, and vendors has led to the successful completion of numerous infrastructure projects, emphasizing cost-effective strategies and resource optimization.
Before his current position, Ismael worked as a water and wastewater treatment professional for the Town of Hudson. There, he maintained the town’s water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and timely maintenance. His hands-on experience in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing preventive maintenance measures highlights his commitment to reliability and service excellence.
Ismael holds a degree in Water Quality Management and is passionate about fostering sustainable water and wastewater systems. As a board member, he aims to leverage his operational expertise and leadership skills to support the district’s mission of providing safe and reliable water services to the community.
