water is life

Denver Metro Water Festival

Hosted by Denver Water, the Suburban Distributors of Denver Water, the One World One Water Center at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Red Rocks Community College, the Denver Metro Water Festival is a unique opportunity to provide balanced water-related education to sixth graders in Denver Water’s extended service area.

This year the Denver Metro Water Festival will be held on May 13th at Red Rocks Community College.

The festival offers engaging, hands-on lessons and activities to:

  • Help students appreciate the value of water
  • Provide the tools students need to treat water as a precious resource
  • Initiate students to take an active role in water conservation

This annual festival is a community event for metro area students and an opportunity for individuals and organizations throughout the state to participate through presentations, volunteerism and sponsorships.

District staff member, Alyssa Quinn, serves on the Denver Metro Water Festival Advisory Board and serves as the Volunteer Coordinator.
