Celebrating 5 Years With the District

Adam Morse is celebrating his 5th year with the district. He serves as the district’s GIS (Geographic Information System), Website and IT Technician.

Adam’s duties include managing the district’s GIS mapping data, asset life history data and general IT support. He is responsible for handling IT issues and software updates that our office and field staff rely on daily to complete their tasks.

Adam grew up with a familiarity of water and sanitation districts. His family has been involved with water and wastewater systems for 50 years. Working for the district has allowed and encouraged him to pursue his interests in cartography and technology.

Adam finds balancing time between GIS, server, website and technology advancement the most challenging part of his role. His proudest moment working for the district was transitioning the entire GIS system to the cloud. Some other tasks Adam has accomplished while at the district has been assisting with redesigning and upgrading the district’s websites and revamping the formulas used to assess water mains in need of replacement.

When asked what he has gained from working at the district, Adam said “I’ve been able to learn from people who have lifetimes of experience in utility management and public service.” He enjoys working collaboratively with a group of dedicated and focused professionals with decades of experience. In the years ahead, Adam would like to continue pushing the district forward with new technology and workflows.

Congratulations on five years with the district, Adam, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
