Two water main replacement projects and one sewer main replacement project are scheduled for 2025.
The district’s water distribution system requires increased attention as significant portions of the system approach the end of their reliable, useful life. It is extremely important that the district maintain a proactive facility maintenance program and comprehensive long-range capital improvement program to detect and repair all district owned infrastructure as necessary. Water main rehabilitation projects account for 87% of the total proposed expenditures for 2025 and the sewer main upsizing project accounts for the remaining 13%.
Two water main replacement projects in Woodmar Square are scheduled for 2025.
S. Cody Way – This project will replace 1,257 feet of 8″ asbestos cement pipe with 8-inch PVC pipe in S. Cody Way from W. Peakview Dr. to S. Dover Way.
S. Everett Way – This project will replace 911 feet of 6″ asbestos cement pipe with 6″ PVC pipe in S. Everett Way from W. Peakview Dr. to S. Estes St.
There is one sewer main project in 2025.
This project involves upsizing 2,103 feet of 33″ pipe to 36″ pipe in the open space east of the South Platte River and west of Aspen Grove.
