Denver Water seeks new Citizens Advisory Committee member

Opening for a Suburban customer representative on 10-member group

Denver Water’s 10-member Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is seeking a new Suburban customer representative. The volunteer committee advises the utility and its board on a range of issues while encouraging and coordinating public participation in the agency’s policy development.

The appointment is for a three-year term. The CAC has historically met the third Thursday of each month, 5–7 p.m., at Denver Water, 1600 W. 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80204, but is currently meeting virtually. Meeting dates and times are subject to change.

To qualify for the position, the applicant must 1) reside in Denver Water’s combined service area (i.e., be a Denver Water or distributor customer) and live outside of the City and County of Denver, 2) be a US Citizen, 3) have lived in Colorado for five or more years and 4) have the ability and willingness to connect with constituents from the group they represent on CAC. CAC representatives cannot be employed by Denver Water during their term. The committee works to maintain a balance of thought, background, skills and experience.
