2019 Water Quality Report Now Available

Denver Water collects more than 35,000 water samples and conducts more than 70,000 tests every year to ensure that the water delivered to 1.4 million people is safe and clean.

Those samples and tests are part of a year-round effort monitored by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Those agencies also require water providers to issue an annual report on water quality.

Denver Water’s supply is 100% surface water. It comes from rivers, lakes, streams, reservoirs and springs filled with high-quality mountain snow run off. Denver Water’s 2019 Water Quality Report contains information including these water sources, any detected contaminants, the treatment process, as well as, compliance and educational information. This report shows you exactly how your drinking water is safe and meets the requirements set by the EPA and state health department.
